The new Adventure Wild Kimberley Tours website is a complete refresh of a well established site. The brief was for a fresh design that was easy to use (particularly on a mobile) and that increased online bookings.
As there are a number of Kimberley tour companies operating on the Gibb River Road, it was important to create a distinctive website that supported the brand and stood out in a competitive market.
Mobile First Design
The design process prioritised mobile phone users. This meant simplifying presentation in key areas such as tour availability dates.
Day-by-day Visual Itinerary
To help tell the story of the tour, a new Visual Itinerary was implemented. This combines key images with rich photo captions to engage the reader and help them relate locations and experiences with the tour itinerary.
Searchable Reviews & Testimonials
This client had an incredible resource of over 400 customer testimonials. To bring these to life, key excerpts are presented and there is a filterable / searchable option for the full testimonial database.
Interview-Based Locations & Experiences
The website includes a lot of new content about the locations and experiences on the tour to help people researching their Kimberley trip. This material was developed using an interview process so that the experienced tour guides could share their knowledge.
User and Search Planning
Planning for the website copy commenced with a Content Workshop that focussed on user experience and search engine optimisation.
