For the Design option, choose Plain White and select the Narrow option. The formatting options for Poll Daddy are extensive, but it can be hard to match to an existing design.

Now the Poll exists, next step is to add it to your website.

Get the Poll shortcode

You place your poll into your website by copying and pasting the poll shortcode.

Go to Dashboard, Polls, Edit to see a list of your existing polls. Hover over the poll you want to use and you’ll see the Quickinks appear – one of these is the Share-Embed link.

Get PollDaddy Share Embed Code

Click the Share-Embed Quicklink and you will see the WordPress shortcode:

Select the shortcode:
[polldaddy poll=3870017]

If you already have a Text Widget in your sidebar, you can edit that text widget and replace the existing shortcode with the new one.

To place a poll in your sidebar for the first time, use Dashboard, Widgets to add a new Text Widget to your sidebar, and paste the shortcode into it.
