How to Use and Interpret Google Analytics

Setting up Google Analytics involves:

  • registering with Google for your Google Analytics account
  • getting your Analytics ID (part of your tracking code) – it looks like this: UA-982174-1
  • enter your Analytics ID on Dashboard, Appearance, Site Design (under 3rd Party Tools section)

Once you are registered Google will collect statistics on who visits your site, where they come from and what they look at.
