Business Blogger’s Checklist

Inform Don’t Sell Your blog is not the place to sell. Inform, solve a problem.
Get The Blog Habit Try to keep a regular time for posting your blog so it becomes routine. Eg. “I post Mondays.”
Blog for Somebody Think about somebody specific who might read your post. Write to interest that person.
Use Keywords Know what your keywords are. Where appropriate put them in your headline and your post.
Grab Attention Use an interesting headline that promises a benefit for your customer who reads it. Eg. “Little Known Facts About ..”
Stay Positive Be friendly and conversational. Avoid any sarcastic, negative or critical comments. Keep blogs positive.
Keep it Short One or two sentences per paragraph. 12 – 15 paragraphs is a long post.
Invite Comment End your post with a question or a statement that encourages comment.
Keep A Notebook Jot down ideas for blog posts when you think of them.
