So here are four things to do today to make sure you keep your domain secure.
- Make sure that you keep the contact details for your domain registrar, your renewal date and your password somewhere safe, accessible and well labelled.
- Put the renewal date in your diary, your partner’s diary and on the office calender.
- Explain the significance of your domain to the key people in your business. You want to make sure you are not the only person who understands how important domain renewal is for your business security.
- Check that your domain registrar has your current email address for renewal reminders.
As a side note, you can renew or register a domain with a good registrar for no more $15-$25 per year. Some registrars may charge a lot more than this.
